My background in fitness comes mostly from playing Aussie Rules Footy. I played my first game aged 8 and my last game aged 38. I stayed involved with the footy club at Junior and Senior level, mostly as the “Runner” for the Senior team on a Saturday and the Junior team on a Sunday. I kept training with the Senior team to keep fit (or what I thought was fit).

At a Footy club social function someone handed me a CrossFit Mornington Peninsula flyer. My eldest son wanted to have a “fitness edge” leading up to the footy pre-season, so we both signed up for our first month.

CrossFit hits you like a tonne of bricks. It is like nothing I have experienced before.

The workouts are different, varied and intense, everyday challenges you to push yourself to a whole new level which keeps you coming back for more.

Ben and Kirsten, you guys are second to none. Committed, passionate and knowledgeable in aspects of CrossFit and general fitness. Your advice on Fitness and nutrition is invaluable in progressing our training and lifestyle. You are genuinely interested in everyone’s performance and progress. Your support and encouragement in fantastic.

To all the CrossFitters at the box, the camaraderie  and friendships I have made is what makes CrossFit Mornington Peninsula something special. You don’t have to look far for some inspiration because everyone at the box has a real crack regardless of what fitness level they might be.

I highly recommend CrossFit Mornington Peninsula to anyone, any age…

I have been training at Crossfit MP for the last fourteen weeks. I was over fifty, fat, unfit and living in that river in Egypt (De Nial).
I was too old to start doing exercise at the intensity that crossfit requires. I could wax lyrical about all the other reasons that Crossfit was not for me.

Then I took the leap of faith and did it. (you either do it, or don’t do it, you don’t TRY Crossfit).
I am now still over fifty but fitter than I have ever been. I have lost over eight inches from my waist. My lifestyle has changed to encompass all that Crossfit can offer which includes dietary advice.
If you are prepared to Commit to a style of workout that is intense, and at the time hard but gets results get yourself to Crossfit MP.
You don’t just get fit with Crossfit, you can change your life.

At 55 years old I believed that CrossFit was not for me. Too hardcore, too intense, too much for someone like me who hadn’t exercised in a long time. Encouraged by my family and also seeing the results my husband was getting, (he started CrossFit a month before me), I decided to give it a go. After my introduction session I was exhausted, getting out of bed the next day was a challenge with so many aches and pains. Kirsten advised me despite the pain to get back in the ‘Box’ within the next day or two.

    I did.

Seven weeks and over 30 WOD’s later I am leaner, fitter, stronger and by following the Paleo lifestyle much healthier.

Ben and Kirsten are professional and welcoming to people of all age groups with varying levels of fitness.

What may appear to be an intimidating environment, in reality, it is a unique and challenging environment providing the opportunity to really excel and achieve in a way I never thought I was capable of.

    Thanks Ben and Kirsten.
