    HOUSE KEEPING!

    By CrossFit MP | July 18, 2012

One of the best things about our box is the friendships and camaraderie that exists within it.
What goes along with this is everyone being keen to catch up when they see each other in the box. Unfortunately what this has led to is a lot of talking whilst the class is on.
This leads to a few issues that can affect people’s training session. As a coach it is distracting when going over technique and explanations. People that are not as familiar with the movements and the format of the class are missing vital information which leads to more time having to be spent to re-explain what is happening. This in turn means it is harder to fit everything in within the hour and classes are going over time.
If you arrive prior to the class feel free to have a chat whilst you are working on some skills or mobility. Once the class starts please hold back on the talking until after class.

Something else that falls hand in hand with this is setting up equipment (including changing shoes) whilst the explanation is happening.
I realise that once you have been training with us for a while you are familiar with the process and are just trying to save time. However once again it is distracting to a lot of people who are trying to listen to the coach. Also everyone in the box can always learn from what is being said.

By changing these two small things we will be able to provide an even better environment to train.

We by no means want to change the atmosphere at the box, because as mentioned earlier it is what makes it such a great place to train. We just ask that you show a bit of self control whilst we talk so that you can get he best possible training.

    Thanks…
